Scottish Diesels 2017 Review
If you've been following the modern Scottish diesel scene you'll know that 2017 was a great year. From 50-year old Class 37s on Railtours and IM workings and 47s on sleeper trains right through to the brand new Class 70s on oil and cement and even the Class 88s on the Tesco train, add scenic locations, sunshine and snow and you have the perfect diesel year!
Highlights: Brand new Class 68s on the Fife Circle; 47739 and 47749 on the Aberdeen sleepers; Class 73s to Oban; 56302 on the WHL with oil trains to Fort William and Lairg; Class 92s on the Cathcart Circle; BR Green 37057 to Kyle; 66529 rescues a failed 73; 66737 on the Inverness RHTT and footage from the Bo'ness diesel gala with 88005 in the snow.
